This is the first record of singer, songwriter and guitarist Stasan. In his youth he performed extensively live with his band “The Fates”, but Stasan turned his back to the music for many years. This classic rock album is driven by grooving bass lines and crunchy guitar riffs, added by Stasan´s unique, dark and melancholic voice and completed with some deep, but also funny, ironical lyrics telling stories about people´s lives, including his own.

  IRV WILLIAMS  -  Finality

cover IrvWilliams Finality 250x250

About Record

This is Irv Williams', a Minnesota jazz legend, fourth CD release of new material since 2004. The previous three received stellar reviews, and the depth of feeling and expression that Irv Williams brings to the tenor sax makes "Finality" another musical treasure. The original "Debra's Dream," an arresting-yet-gentle performance that starts with sax and guitar before becoming a solo piece, is overwhelmingly emotional. From the swinging "Castle Rock" by Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges to the contemplative "Old Folks", Irv Williams keeps digging deep into the textures of song.

About Record

Irv Williams is a graceful saxophone soloist, who didn't record a single one of his original compositions until starting to work on this album. There is a good yarn here: Irv Williams found inspiration for the "Squiggles" song's hopping, stop-start melody outside his home in St. Paul. "Last July I noticed a crow had a broken wing," he says. "I watched that crow for all of last summer and this winter, and I just concocted that tune in his honor; he disappeared in March."

About Record

A Love Electric is an explosive trio of three nationalities, hailed as “the tomorrow of creative rock” by Mexico City’s leading newspaper “La Jornada”, that performs at some of the world’s finest rock festivals, jazz clubs, and cultural landmarks. Led by guitarist and vocalist Todd Clouser, a voice recognized as at the forefront of a new generation of post genre artists, A Love Electric carries the sonic legacies of psychedelic rock, NY City’s downtown scene, and introspective song into new territories. The Prague Post calls ALE’s sound “blistering”. Time Out Barcelona writes the A Love Electric experience is “illuminating”. NPR calls Clouser “fascinating”.
For its 4th record, the band brings legendary organist, pianist, keyboardist John Medeski into the mix on the Sept. 2014 release “Son of A Hero”. Recorded in Clouser’s birthplace of Minneapolis, MN with stops in Woodstock, NY and back to the band’s home of Mexico City, “Son of A Hero” was mixed by Grammy Award winner Patrick Dillett (Soul Coughing, David Bryne and St. Vincent) and produced by Latin Grammy winner Hernan Hecht.

"Man With No Country" should startle and impress longtime admirers, as it marks Clouser’s transition into a formidable vocalist, songwriter, and frontman. The Minneapolis native, who now resides in Mexico, has previously established himself as a dynamic and resourceful instrumentalist in open-ended, jazz-rock contexts. “For years,” Clouser explains, “I’ve been playing instrumental music exclusively – but, at the same time, writing a lot of songs. It’s only over the past year that I’ve added in my voice." The result is truly impressive.

About Record

This is Williams´s twelfth album, another terrific piece of jazz music history consisting of 13 musical tracks, on which “Mr. Smooth” is joined by long-time partner Billy Peterson on bass and Steve Blons on guitar. But that’s not all. The Special Edition of Pinnacle also includes highlights of an exclusive conversation between the jazz master and late jazz broadcaster Leigh Kamman, whose career spanned over 6 decades conducting thousands of interviews with the “jazz who’s who”. This historic conversation gives us the chance to listen to some rare musical history and a few funny stories. Sadly, these intimate moments became Kamman´s last recorded interview as he left the scene in October 2014.
